Terms and Conditions
By placing an order with VIVICITA, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Bespoke & Customised Jewellery
-
Your order is considered confirmed once the required payment has been received and VIVICITA has provided written confirmation. We reserve the right to cancel and fully refund an order in the event of an obvious pricing, listing or typographical error.
-
Each bespoke or customised piece is made specifically for you. Once your order is confirmed and design work, gemstone sourcing or production has commenced, deposits and payments are non-refundable. Bespoke and customised pieces cannot be returned or exchanged due to a change of mind.
-
Alterations requested after the final design has been confirmed, or after collection or delivery, may be subject to additional charges.
2. Design & Production Timeline
-
Our bespoke design and production process typically takes 6–10 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and gemstone sourcing.
-
Occasionally, additional time may be required to ensure the piece meets our quality standards. If you need your jewellery for a proposal, wedding or special occasion, please let us know as early as possible.
-
Express production may be available for selected designs and is subject to availability and additional fees.
-
VIVICITA will not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control, including courier or customs delays, supply disruptions or other unforeseen events.
3. Design Interpretation
-
Design concepts may be presented through sketches, illustrations or renders. As jewellery is a three-dimensional object and each piece is individually produced, minor variations between the design visual and finished piece are normal.
-
Adjustments to proportions, thickness, setting or structure may sometimes be necessary to ensure the jewellery is durable, secure, comfortable and well balanced.
-
If a significant design change is required during production, we will discuss it with you where possible before proceeding.
4. Client-Provided Gemstones
-
We accept selected client-provided gemstones, with a minimum setting project value of SGD 3,000.
-
Client-provided gemstones must be independently certified before work begins so that we have a clear record of what we are working with.
-
Setting, removing and resetting gemstones are delicate processes and carry an inherent risk of chipping, cracking, scratching, breaking or other damage. This risk may be greater for gemstones with inclusions, fractures, treatments, previous damage or other vulnerabilities, including conditions that may not be visible or detectable before work begins.
-
By providing your own gemstone for setting, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks. While VIVICITA and our craftsmen will take reasonable care in handling your gemstone, VIVICITA will not be responsible for damage arising from the gemstone's inherent characteristics, pre-existing condition, treatments, structural weaknesses or other vulnerabilities during the setting or production process.
-
Client-provided gemstones are accepted for setting at the client's risk, subject to circumstances where responsibility cannot reasonably or lawfully be excluded.
5. Warranty & Repairs
-
Every VIVICITA piece comes with a 12-month craftsmanship warranty from the date of collection or delivery.
-
The warranty covers manufacturing and craftsmanship defects. All pieces will first be assessed by us before repair.
-
It does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, scratches, dents, impact, deformation, plating wear, gemstone damage or loss, or damage caused by inappropriate wear or care. Our craftsmanship warranty does not cover jewellery that has been repaired, resized, altered or modified by another jeweller or third party after collection.
-
Repairs outside the warranty may be chargeable.
6. Complimentary Resizing
-
VIVICITA jewellery includes one complimentary resizing service, provided the design can be safely resized.
-
This covers resizing only. Repairs for dents, scratches, deformation, plating wear, gemstone damage or other visible damage are not included. Some designs may have limitations on how much they can be resized. We will assess the piece before proceeding.
7. Pre-Orders
Pre-orders require us to commit to gemstones, materials or production specifically for your purchase. For this reason, confirmed pre-orders cannot be cancelled or refunded due to a change of mind.
8. Ready-to-Wear & Online Purchases
-
Ready-to-wear and online purchases are non-refundable for change of mind, but may be exchanged once within 30 days of receipt. The piece must be unworn, unaltered and in its original condition, together with its original packaging and certificate, where applicable
-
For clients in Singapore, exchanges can be arranged at our office by appointment.
-
For international clients, we can assist you in selecting an exchange piece through photographs and videos. The original piece must be returned to us and received in its original condition before the replacement is sent.
-
All return shipping, replacement shipping, duties, taxes and other costs associated with an international exchange are the responsibility of the customer.
-
If you choose a higher-priced piece, the difference will need to be topped up. No refund will be given if a lower-priced piece is selected.
-
Each order is eligible for one exchange only.
9. Loose Gemstones & Online Representation
We take care to represent our gemstones as accurately as possible. However, natural gemstones may appear different depending on lighting, photography, camera settings and your screen. Some loose gemstones are temporarily placed on a ring using adhesive to show their approximate size and appearance on hand. This may make the stone appear slightly blurred or cloudy in photographs but does not reflect its actual clarity or condition. You are always welcome to ask us for additional photographs or videos before purchasing.
10. Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your piece arrives faulty, damaged, not as described or not fit for its intended purpose, please contact us as soon as possible. We will assess the piece and arrange an appropriate repair, replacement or refund where applicable.
11. Singapore Delivery & Collection
-
We take care to make sure your jewellery reaches you safely.
-
Complimentary local delivery is available for orders above SGD 4,500.
-
Local orders are generally delivered via Grab. As fine jewellery is valuable and often one of a kind, we recommend self-collection from our office in Jurong, Singapore whenever possible.
-
Once your order is ready, we'll contact you to arrange collection or delivery.
12. International Shipping
International orders are shipped via trusted couriers such as DHL or SF Express, depending on your location.
Tracking details will be provided once your parcel is on its way. Delivery times may vary depending on the destination and customs clearance.
13. Duties & Taxes
International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes or customs fees imposed by the destination country. These charges, where applicable, are the responsibility of the recipient.
VIVICITA is not GST-registered in Singapore and does not charge Singapore GST. Therefore, purchases from VIVICITA are not eligible for GST refunds under Singapore’s Tourist Refund Scheme.
14. Collection
We encourage you to check your jewellery when you receive it. If you notice anything concerning its condition, appearance or workmanship, please let us know as soon as possible so we can assist you.
15. Photography, Design & Intellectual Property
-
We love sharing the pieces we create. Completed jewellery may be photographed or filmed and featured on VIVICITA’s website, social media, portfolio, advertising or educational materials.
-
Commissioning a bespoke piece does not transfer ownership of the underlying design, drawings or intellectual property to the client. All original VIVICITA designs, sketches, illustrations, renders, photographs and other creative materials remain the intellectual property of VIVICITA.
-
VIVICITA may continue to develop, adapt or create future iterations based on our original designs and design language. While every bespoke piece is individually created for its client, this does not grant exclusivity over the underlying design, concept, technique or design elements unless otherwise agreed in writing.
-
If your piece is a surprise or you would prefer images of the finished piece not to be publicly featured, just let us know. We will not publicly share your name or personal information without your permission.
16. Privacy
We respect your privacy and do not sell or trade your personally identifiable information.
Your information may be shared with trusted service providers only where necessary to complete your order, payment or delivery.
17. General
Where specific terms stated on your invoice differ from these general Terms & Conditions, the terms on your invoice will apply to that particular order. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects rights that cannot be excluded under applicable Singapore law.
